OH MY GOD! This has my stomach hurting! I love motorcycle racing and to watch those guys ride hard. Its like you get to know them from watching often and now a friend/someone you have come to know has past away! It is tragic, hurtful and saddening! My prayers go out to all who knew him and are related to him!

From the full version it doesn't look like Rossi ran him over. It really looks like Edwards and Simoncelli's bike did the damage. If you can watch it, Simoncelli's bike front takes a serious hop/bounce right before helmet is seen rolling and he is shown sliding face down. It happened so quick, you can see Edwards and Rossi trying to adjust but there was no room as Simoncelli's bike went right into them with him sliding and hanging on.

A terrible tragedy and an awful time for all. I always try to take something away from misfortune and in this case it has to
be to let go of a down bike. Not an easy task when you think it can be saved, but I have learned from personal experience that it is safer to let the bike slide away
than to think you can direct a speeding 400-600 pound lead weight.

He was rising star but his career came up too short
